Vol. 551 No. 4

Written Answers. - State Airports.

Ulick Burke

Question:

14 Mr. U. Burke asked the Minister for Public Enterprise the buildings located within the red zones at Dublin and Shannon airports; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [10565/02]

As I indicated in my reply to Questions Nos. 99, 100, 108 and 109 on 4 July 2001, I am informed by Aer Rianta that there is a total of 11 locations at Dublin Airport, on lands owned by the company, that contain buildings which are used for social, operational, commercial and sporting use and within the Red (Safety) Areas.

They are on land now owned by Aer Rianta which was transferred from the Minister to Aer Rianta on 1 January 1999. The locations of these premises facilitate a limitation as to their use and-or modification, and-or removal if necessary. Aer Rianta or the Fingal planning authority will be in a position to provide the Deputy with any further information he may require in relation to this.

I am informed that there are no buildings on lands owned by Aer Rianta in the Red (Safety) Area at Shannon Airport.

Question No. 15 answered with Question No. 7.
