Question:43 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if groups (details supplied) have been advised to cease articles regarding party political promotion. [10889/02]

Support for the group in question is provided by FÁS under the community employment scheme. The Community Employment Sponsor Manual specifically states, "the work programme of the Sponsor should not include any specific promotional-advocacy of: a specific political party or the policies of a specific political party". FÁS inquiries to date suggest that this requirement has not been breached. I am arranging for FÁS to send the Deputy a copy of the sponsor manual for his information.
