48 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources the capital provision for coastal erosion in County Kerry for 2002; the proposals he has received from Kerry County Council in this regard; the locations and amounts required in each case; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10690/02]

In October 2001 my Department wrote to all coastal local authorities inviting proposals for consideration in the context of the 2002 coast protection programme. Kerry County Council submitted the following seven costed proposals:
