Question:211 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason for the delay in area aid payments to a person (details supplied) in County Laois; and when payment can be expected. [11864/02]

The person named included a plot of land on his 2001 area aid application which was also claimed by another herdowner and in addition he also included a parcel of land on his application on which an over-claim was determined. My Department contacted the applicant about this and the matter has now been resolved. An area has been determined for payment purposes of 13.93 hectares. Any payment due to him will issue shortly.
