234 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Finance the negotiations which have taken place to secure a site for a new Garda station in Ballymote, County Sligo, given the inadequate facilities that exist; when work will commence; the reason for the delays; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The commissioners are currently in negotiations for the acquisition of a site suitable for a new Garda station in Ballymote, County Sligo. Once they have acquired the site, works will commence in accordance with the priority accorded the project by the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform in the context of the Garda building programme.
