294 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Health and Children if his Department has received a proposal from the Waterford Regional Hospital to develop the pain service; and if so, the progress being made to have approval issued for the proposal. [11182/02]
Responsibility for the provision of services at Waterford Regional Hospital rests with the South-Eastern Health Board. My Department has not received a proposal from the SouthEastern Health Board relating to the specific service mentioned by the Deputy. Therefore, my Department has asked the chief executive officer at the board to look into the matter and reply directly to the Deputy.
