Charles Flanagan

Question:

367 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Health and Children if his attention has been drawn to the fact that a person (details supplied) in County Laois is awaiting admission to St. Luke's Hospital for the past seven weeks; and if he will make appropriate arrangements for this person's admission as soon as possible. [11684/02]

Responsibility for the provision of health services to persons living in County Laois rests with the Midland Health Board. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.

Question:

368 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Health and Children if his Department will take steps to have a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath admitted to Tullamore General Hospital to have a hip replacement redone; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11685/02]

370 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason for the delay in the admittance of a person (details supplied) in County Louth to St. Vincent's Hospital, Elm Park for an ankle operation; and when this person will be admitted. [11687/02]

Responsibility for the provision of hospital services to residents of County Louth rests with the North-Eastern Health Board. Therefore, my Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
