Vol. 552 No. 1

Written Answers. - Hospital Services.

Billy Timmins

Question:

413 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Health and Children the position regarding a person (details supplied) in County Wicklow who was recently assessed in Loughlinstown and told that, while they need treatment, they were not a priority and therefore not eligible for the list; the way in which this person will now be treated; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12031/02]

Responsibility for the provision of hospital services to residents of Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has, therefore, asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the matter raised and respond directly to the Deputy.
