459 Mr. Crawford asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the amount of funding he has provided for Monaghan town water scheme; the amount of this funding which has been provided by the European Union; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11877/02]

To date my Department has recouped €17.485 million to Monaghan town council in respect of expenditure on this scheme for which the overall approved cost is €18.783 million. The EU Cohesion Fund contribution to the scheme is €6.136 million.
