Vol. 552 No. 1

Written Answers. - Arts Funding.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

498 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands the reasons the Brendan Kennelly Centre, Ballylongford, Listowel, County Kerry, did not receive funding under the ACCESS programme; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [11114/02]

My decisions on the ACCESS scheme were based on recommendations made by the advisory committee which evaluated all eligible applications. Unfortunately, on foot of this evaluation, the project referred to by the Deputy was not recommended by this committee and therefore was not included in the list of projects put before me for consideration.
