Written Answers. - Naturalisation Applications.
The declaration of acceptance of post-nuptial citizenship from the person referred to by the Deputy was submitted to my Department on 3 April 2002. The current processing time for such applications is approximately six months from their date of lodgement. Applications are dealt with in chronological order as this method is deemed to be the fairest to all concerned and it is likely, therefore, that this application will be finalised in the last quarter of this year.
