688 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Education and Science if he has received a request regarding the enrolment of a person (details supplied) in County Cork at the CABAS project in Cork; the situation in this regard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11279/02]
Applications for enrolment in the CABAS project referred to by the Deputy, are a matter for the management of the project. The project, which was established in 1999, caters for a total of 30 children with autism and is operating on a five year pilot basis. I understand that the pupil referred to is on a waiting list for enrolment and that the project authorities will be in contact with the family concerned in the event of a place becoming available.
