Written Answers. - Educational Projects.

Tony Gregory

Question:

817 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Education and Science if his Department has received a request for funding from the Daughters of Charity, Navan Road, Dublin 7 for a July summer programme; his views on the request; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11922/02]

My Department has received a request for funding for a programme to be delivered during the month of July by the Daughters of Charity Services at Navan Road, Dublin 7.

My Department makes funding available for the extension of education services through the month of July for children with severe or profound general learning disabilities and children with autism. The request to which the Deputy refers is being considered in this context. My officials will be in contact with the Daughters of Charity as soon as possible in relation to this matter.
