Vol. 552 No. 2

Written Answers. - Tendering Procedures.

Austin Deasy

Question:

103 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if his Department is aware of a deal entered into by a local authority with a private company (details supplied); and if his Department is satisfied that all procedures were followed correctly including the selection processes and tender procedures, and that full market value was achieved for property. [12149/02]

It is a matter for the local authority concerned to comply with relevant statutory requirements in relation to particular disposal of its lands. My Department's consent to such disposal only arises where land is being sold for less than market value. However, I understand that this does not arise in the present case.
