Question:

49 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for Defence the total expenses he has received and that of the Minister(s) of State (details supplied) from 1 January 2001 to 31 October 2001. [12227/02]

During the period in question, I received €10,792.77 from the Houses of the Oireachtas in respect of constituency office maintenance and Dáil special secretarial allowance and €13,106.68 from the Department of Defence in respect of expense allowances for parliamentary office holders. In addition, I was reimbursed €3,317.17 in respect of standard travel and subsistence payments in respect of official travel abroad. The Minister of State at the Department of Defence, Deputy Séamus Brennan, received €16,824.03 from the Houses of the Oireachtas between 1 January and 31 October 2001 in respect of constituency office maintenance, Dáil special secretarial allowance and Dáil telephone allowance.
