Question:

70 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the total expenses he has received and that of the Ministers of State (details supplied) from 1 January 2001 to 31 October 2001. [12228/02]

During the period 1 January 2001 to 31 October 2001 I was paid the following expenses – subsistence, €3,770.31, Dáil special secretarial allowance, €4,443.95. The Ministers of State at my Department received expenses during the same period, as follows. Deputy Davern – travel, €20,230.59, subsistence, €3,790.98, constituency office maintenance expenses, €7,618.20, and Dáil special secretarial allowance, €4,443.95. Deputy Ó Cuiv, from 2 March 2001 only, travel, €17,627.50, subsistence, €4,011.82, constituency office maintenance expenses, €7,618.20, Dáil special secretarial allowance, €4,443.95. Former Minister of State, Deputy Ned O'Keeffe, travel, €11,456.22, subsistence, €1,295.49, constituency office maintenance expenses, €3,174.25. A separate breakdown of the travelling expenses paid to the Ministers of State in connection with their constituency office related work and their official duties is not readily available.
