Vol. 552 No. 2

Written Answers. - Nursing Home Subventions.

Bernard Allen

Question:

88 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will investigate a situation where the Southern Health Board is deducting half the pension of a person (details supplied) in County Cork towards the cost of his nursing home charges and has been doing so despite the fact that it was informed 18 weeks ago that this person is no longer in the nursing home. [12185/02]

Responsibility for the provision of health services in Cork rests with the Southern Health Board. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly.
