Vol. 552 No. 3

Written Answers. - Hospitals Building Programme.

Austin Deasy

Question:

129 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Health and Children the progress which is being made in providing the replacement hospital of the existing district hospital in Dungarvan, County Waterford; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12513/02]

The provision of health services in County Waterford is a matter for the South-Eastern Health Board. I understand that the board has set aside an amount of €2.764 million for the proposed development of St. Vincent's Hospital, Dungarvan from the indicative funding notified under the national development plan. A project team has been established by the South Eastern Health Board for the proposed development at St. Vincent's Hospital which is in the process of drafting a planning brief.
