83 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the position regarding the transfer of a herd number by a person (details supplied) to a family member, in view of the family bereavement and the extenuating circumstances involved; the options open to this person to transfer this herd number; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As all the children of the deceased herdowner are under the age of 18 years, it is not possible to transfer the herd number to any of them. Accordingly, my Department has no option but to amalgamate the herd number with that of the deceased's husband.
