Vol. 552 No. 3

Written Answers. - Special Educational Needs.

Jackie Healy-Rae

Question:

112 Mr. Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Health and Children if his attention has been drawn to the lack of support experienced by Scoil an Fheirtéaraigh, Baile An Fheirtéaraigh, Trá Lí, Contae Chiarraí, and the special needs children for physiotherapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12320/02]

Responsibility for the provision of health related support services to children with special needs in the Kerry region rests with the Southern Health Board. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly.
