338 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Education and Science the way in which an application from a school (details supplied) in Dublin 9 stands for installation of a lift to cater for wheelchair and disabled students; if approval has been given; when it can be expected; and if the facility will be in place for the new school year in September 2002. My Department has approved funding for the provision of a new lift at the school to which the Deputy refers. The school's management authority through its design team is currently in the process of applying for the relevant planning and fire safety certificates with a view to having the lift in place for the new school year in September 2002.
