21 Mr. S. Ryan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the plans he has to assist vegetable growers who are facing a serious crisis due to exceptionally wet weather in recent months; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13965/02]
The recent sustained spell of wet weather has caused significant difficulties for vegetable growers. However, difficulties have also been experienced to varying degrees by farmers in all production sectors throughout the country.
I shall keep the matter under review in the light of developments in the coming period.
