Question:244 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Education and Science if his Department will now allow an extension to a school (details supplied) in County Leitrim to proceed as a matter of urgency. [14636/02]
Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.
The authorities of the school referred to by the Deputy were informed by my Department that a project at the school has been included in the building programme for 2002. Earlier this year my predecessor published the programme on my Department's website.
Tenders have been invited for the proposed extension-refurbishment. It is envisaged that construction will commence later this year.

Question:245 Mr. O'Connor asked the Minister for Education and Science if tender documents will now issue in respect of the long awaited sports hall for Firhouse Community College, Dublin 24. [14637/02]
Approval has been given to the design team working on the PE hall project at Firhouse Community College to commence pre-qualification of suitable contractors. The question of inviting tenders will be determined on completion.
