40 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Taoiseach the 2002 Estimates for public capital spending by his Department; if the net expenditure under headings is likely on present trends to be exceeded; and if so, the amount by which in each case. [13679/02]

The Taoiseach

The 2002 Estimate for public capital spending by my Department is €3.6 million in respect of funding for projects under the millennium celebrations. The expenditure under this heading will not be exceeded.
