Vol. 554 No. 5

Written Answers. - Speech Therapy Service.

Denis Naughten

Question:

1148 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will ensure that speech therapy services are provided to St. Hilda's special school, Athlone and St. Michael's special school, Castlerea; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16811/02]

Responsibility for the provision of services to persons with an intellectual disability and those with autism in the Athlone region rests with the Midland Health Board and in the Castlerea region rests with the Western Health Board. Therefore, my Department has asked the chief executive officers of both boards to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly.

Question No. 1149 answered with Question No. 902.
