Question:

188 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government his plans to amend planning regulations and standards for the Environmental Protection Agency. [17553/02]

Section 256 of the Planning and Development Act, 2000, sets out new provisions in relation to development control by planning authorities and An Bord Pleanála of projects which are also subject to licensing by the Environmental Protection Agency. This section was brought into force on 11 March of this year and it is not proposed to make amendments to it at this stage.
