136 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Transport his views on the implementation of tacograph legislation when there are insufficient lay-bys available for drivers to abide by the laws. [17728/02]

I am generally satisfied that the availability of lay-bys together with commercial truck-stops and similar sites on the public road system provides adequate stopping facilities for drivers of heavy goods vehicles.
