Vol. 555 No. 2

Adjournment Debate. - School Transport.

Dan Neville

Question:

233 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Education and Science when free primary school transport will be provided for a disabled pupil who is confined to a wheelchair and has failed to locate a wheelchair-accessible taxi to go to a school (details supplied). [18325/02]

My Department has instructed Bus Éireann, which is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the school transport scheme, to establish a school bus service with wheelchair access to the school in question to cater for children fully eligible for school transport.
