Question:

368 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if there is a dealing or transaction pending on a particular folio for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo; and if so, when it will be complete. [17891/02]

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this is an application for conversion of title which was lodged on 3 September 2002. Dealing No. D2002SM007574T refers.

I understand that due to their complicated nature, applications such as these, which require detailed examination of claims for registration as full owners, can take some time to process. However, I can assure the Deputy that the matter is receiving attention in the Land Registry.

369 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when a dealing will be complete for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [17998/02]

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this is an application under section 49, i.e. acquisition of title by virtue of long possession, of the Registration of Title Act, 1964, which was lodged on 30 May 2002. Dealing No. D2000SM004835H refers.

I understand that due to their complicated nature, applications under section 49, which require detailed examination of claims for registration as owners, can take some time to process.

I am further informed that queries issued to the lodging solicitor on 9 October 2002 and that the application cannot proceed until these queries have been satisfactorily resolved. However, I can inform the Deputy that, on receipt of a satisfactory reply, the matter will receive further attention in the Land Registry.

Question:

370 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the position in relation to the application of a person (details supplied) in County Donegal; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18030/02]

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that these are applications for transfer of part which were lodged on 6 January 2000. Dealing Nos. D2000WS000256A and D2000WS000517C refer. I am further informed that these applications are in the final stages of completion and should be completed this week.

371 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the reason for the delay in registering the transfer of land from a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; and if he will expedite the application. [18144/02]

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this is an application for a transfer of part, a consolidation and a release which was lodged on 14 December 2001. Dealing No. D2001JS010896U refers.

I assure the Deputy that this application is receiving attention in the Land Registry and that it will be completed as soon as possible.
