Vol. 555 No. 2

Adjournment Debate. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.

Paul McGrath

Question:

396 Mr. P. McGrath asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the number and location of mains water supply projects in County Westmeath which are funded by his Department in 2002; and the sum of money allocated to each project. [18160/02]

Details of approved water supply schemes in County Westmeath are set out in my Department's Water Services Investment Programme 2002-2004, a copy of which is available in Oireachtas Library. To date in 2002 a total of €265,797.83 has been recouped to Westmeath County Council by my Department in respect of expenditure by the Council on the extension of the Mullingar water supply scheme from Drummon to Killucan and Kinnegad. In addition, Westmeath County Council has been allocated a block grant of €0.5 million by my Department in respect of expenditure in the current year on small public water and sewerage schemes under the devolved rural water programme.

Question No. 397 answered with Question No. 389.
