207 Mr. Boyle asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will report on promised and agreed development work at Coláiste Chríost Rí, Cork city; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19016/02]

My Department is in receipt of the stage 4/5 submission, detail design/form of tender, for the proposed PE hall at Coláiste Chríost Rí, Cork city.

208 Mr. Boyle asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will report on promised and agreed development work at Ashton Comprehensive School, Cork city; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19017/02]

My Department has agreed in principle to provide a new building to replace the existing school on the site at Ashton Comprehensive, Blackrock, Cork.

Later this year when a financial allocation has been made for the post primary building programme in the 2003 Estimates I will frame a comprehensive programme of works that will include projects expected to commence architectural planning. The school concerned will be one of those considered for inclusion.

209 Mr. Boyle asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will report on promised and agreed development work at Ballygarvan National School, County Cork; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19018/02]

My Department has requested the property management section of the Office of Public Works, office of public works, to explore the possibility of acquiring a site for Ballygarvan National School, County Cork. The case will be given further consideration on receipt of a report from the Office of Public Works.

Architectural planning for a building project at Gaelscoil an Teaghlaigh Naofa, Ballyphehane, Cork city is at an advanced stage.

I am pleased to inform the Deputy that the board of management of St. Nicholas national school, Frankfield, Douglas, County Cork has been told to proceed to tender for the new school building.

I am pleased to inform the Deputy that the provision of temporary accommodation and associated site works at the boys national school, Passage West, County Cork is nearing completion.
