Vol. 555 No. 5

Written Answers. - Health Board Allowances.

Ruairí Quinn

Question:

271 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a mobility allowance has been refused to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 2; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18816/02]

The assessment of entitlement to and payment of the mobility allowance in any individual case is a matter for the relevant health board. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer, Eastern Regional Health Authority, to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly.
