282 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of people who attended the accident and emergency departments of Dublin hospitals as a result of street violence in the past six months; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18918/02]

The figures requested by the Deputy are not routinely collected by my Department. Therefore, my Department has asked the regional chief executive of the Eastern Regional Health Auth ority to collate the information requested and to reply directly to the Deputy.
