Vol. 555 No. 5

Written Answers. - Compulsory Purchase Orders.

Ciarán Cuffe

Question:

324 Mr. Cuffe asked the Minister for Transport his plans to make it mandatory for a claimant for compensation in relation to the Roads Act, 1993, to provide proper title to the land concerned before a claim for compensation can be processed. [19118/02]

The requirement for the provision of proper title of land is covered by the compulsory purchase order (CPO) code, which is in the remit of the Department of the Environment and Local Government and I have no direct responsibility in the matter.
