Vol. 555 No. 5

Written Answers. - Local Authority Housing.

Richard Bruton

Question:

402 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he has received from South Dublin Council a proposal for infill housing at a location (details supplied) in Dublin 24; when he will sanction funding for this project; his views on the fact that, as part of this development, the council has proposed a special scheme to counter anti-social activity and joyriding in this immediate area; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19373/02]

There are no proposals with my Department from South Dublin County Council in relation to the construction of houses at the location in question. I understand, however, that the county council is developing proposals to provide housing at the location as part of a larger scheme which will be submitted to my Department in due course.
