150 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will allocate additional staff to the Land Commission in order that requests for copy documents can be dealt with promptly, particularly for the western counties. [18861/02]
There is a backlog of work at present in the records branch of my Department. This is due to the recent turnover of staff and the length of time it takes to train in these new staff given the nature of the work involved. It is hoped that the backlog will be reduced considerably in the near future.
