Question:

118 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Transport the current waiting times for driving tests at each test centre; the current pass rate for first time and repeat applicants; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19657/02]

The average waiting times for driving tests at each test centre, as at 21 October, 2002, are set out in the following table. The current national pass rate for first time applicants is 52.4% and for repeat applicants is 56.9%. The figure relating to repeat applicants includes applicants who sat a driving test in a different test category during the year.
