117 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Transport the total number of drivers on a full driving licence; the numbers on a provisional licence broken down by first, second, third, fourth and further provisional licences; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19656/02]
Information on numbers of driving licences and provisional licences current at the end of 2001 is contained in the Irish Bulletin of Vehicle and Driver Statistics 2001, published by the Department of the Environment and Local Government, a copy of which is available in the Oireachtas Library. I have asked my colleague the Minister for the Environment and Local Government to provide me with the most recent figures, which I will forward to the Deputy on receipt.
