244 Mr. P. Breen asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the number of staff in the independent Agriculture Appeals Office; the number of these who have previously worked in his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20164/02]

The staff complement of the Agriculture Appeals Office at present is one director, ten appeals officers, one higher executive officer and two clerical officers. All the officers with the exception of the two clerical officers have previously worked in my Department.
