Vol. 556 No. 3

Written Answers. - Dormant Accounts Fund.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

288 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Finance the amount of money in the dormant accounts fund; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20175/02]

Section 17 of the Dormant Accounts Act, 2001, provides that a dormant accounts fund shall be established by the National Treasury Management Agency. However, as the first such transfers are not due to take place until March or April next year, the fund has not yet been established by the agency.
