336 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Education and Science when a decision will be made on an application for home tuition in the name of a person (details supplied) in County Galway; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19790/02]

My officials have requested a report and recommendation from my Department's inspectorate regarding the request for home tuition for the pupil referred to by the Deputy. Further contact will be made with the pupil's family when this process has been completed.
