611 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the reason for the delay in registering the transfer of a house for a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19877/02]
I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this is an application under section 49, i.e., acquisition of title by virtue of long possession, of the Registration of Titles Act, 1964, which was lodged on 6 February 2001. Dealing No. D2001KW001265W refers. I understand that due to their complicated nature, applications such as these, which require detailed examination of claims for registration as full owners, can take some time to process. However, I can assure the Deputy that the matter is receiving attention in the Land Registry.
