230 Mr. McHugh asked the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs if, through the RAPID programme, he will make funding available to supplement funding by the Department of Arts, Sports and Tourism, to enable construction of a six lane swimming pool in lieu of the five lane pool originally proposed for Tuam, County Galway; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has no funding arrangements to supplement grants allocated by other Departments to RAPID projects. I understand that my colleague Deputy John O'Donoghue, Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism, is dealing with the application from Galway County Council to develop a swimming pool in Tuam.
