I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Ring – the need to amend the de-stocking requirement in view of its disastrous effect on rural Ireland; (2) Deputy Costello – the need for the Minister for Education and Science to expedite the work of the Redress Board to ensure that the victims of sexual abuse in Irish institutions are compensated without further delay; (3) Deputy Allen – the negative effect that the two year limit on planning permissions is having on the house building programme at a time when house prices are still rising due to supply not meeting demand; (4) Deputy Ned O'Keeffe – the death of a person (details supplied) following his release from Mallow General Hospital; (5) Deputy Keaveney – the need to outline the steps the Minister will take to secure the future of the whitefish fleet as it pertains to harbours such as Greencastle, particularly after the Fischler remarks; (6) Deputy Neville – the Minister's response to a submission received from the Children's Rights Alliance regarding action to be taken by the 29th Dáil to end child poverty; (7) Deputy Coveney – the need to discuss the Minister's plans for the future of Cork airport, its management structures and the financial framework under which it will operate; (8) Deputy Healy – the intention of Irish Rail-Iarnród Éireann to discontinue rail freight services and to close the rail line between Limerick Junction and Rosslare; (9) Deputy Boyle – the circumstances under which a meeting was held recently in Cork city with representatives of community and voluntary groups regarding current and intended changes to the operation of the community employment scheme without Opposition Deputies, despite their many requests to the Minister of State to meet such groups; (10) Deputy Sargent – that the Minister for Transport reject the notion of a new parallel runway at Dublin Airport and instead move to decentralise air traffic to less developed growth centres and cap Dublin Airport at a size which present infrastructure would withstand; (11) Deputy Hoctor – the need for the Minister for Health and Children to inform me about when the national breast screening service will extend to the mid-west and, when it is introduced, how it will operate so that the women of North Tipperary may be confident that they will have a speedy and effective service locally in view of the recent withdrawal of the mammography service at Nenagh General Hospital; (12) Deputy Cuffe – the need to discuss the felling of trees on Ireland's capital street, O'Connell Street, and to request the Minister for the Environment and Local Government to ensure that no more mature trees will be felled; (13) Deputy Broughan – the urgent need to consult the community of Donaghmede Parish, Dublin 13 about the location and size of a regional probation office proposed for Donaghmede Shopping Centre; (14) Deputy Gay Mitchell – the need to discuss the imminent decision on a resolution or resolutions by the United Nations Security Council in relation to Iraq, especially given the need for Dáil Éireann to consider Ireland's vote at the Security Council on the issue; (15) Deputy Johnny Brady – the need to progress speedily the provision of improved accommodation at Scoil Mhuire, Moynalty; (16) Deputy Cowley – to ask the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will take steps to help Mayo farmers who are suffering excessively and facing a bleak future due to de-stocking rules for commonage farmers and whether he will change the de-stocking rules to allow equity for those farmers.

The matters raised by Deputies Gay Mitchell, Costello, Johnny Brady and Sargent have been selected for discussion.
