Vol. 556 No. 5

Written Answers. - Flood Relief.

Tony Killeen

Question:

127 Mr. Killeen asked the Minister for Finance when he will approve the appointment of consultants to carry out detailed design work arising from the recommendations of the Ennis main drainage and flooding study, flooding element; and his plans to facilitate the public consultation procedures associated with the proposed works. [20979/02]

The appointment of consultants to advance the flood relief element of the Ennis main drainage and flooding study will be subject to an EU tender competition. Tender documents for this competition will be completed within the next few weeks. Public consultation about any proposed works would form part of the brief for consultants.
