Vol. 556 No. 5

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Michael Ring

Question:

162 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be called for a lung transplant; if this person will be given priority consideration in view of the fact that this person has been 18 months on the waiting list and has had repeated hospital admissions. [20972/02]

The provision of medical services in the case of a person from County Mayo is the responsibility of the Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply directly to him.
