Vol. 557 No. 2

Written Answers. - Registration of Title.

Bernard Allen

Question:

256 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when the application made for registration with the Land Registry Office in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Cork, submitted by Cork City Council, will be finalised; and the reason for the delay in having the registration finalised. [21826/02]

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that two applications for first registration were lodged on 21 November 2001; dealing numbers D2001CK014852Y and D2001CK014890G refer. I am further informed that queries issued, with respect to both applications, to the lodging solicitor on 30 September 2002 and 7 October 2002, respectively. The applications cannot proceed further until the queries raised are satisfactorily dealt with. I understand that due to the complicated nature of these types of application it is not possible to estimate a completion date at this stage. I assure the Deputy, however, that the applications will receive further attention in the Land Registry on receipt of a satisfactory response to queries raised.
