187 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will consider a public advertising campaign to educate people on the way in which cocaine works, its effects on the brain and the body, the impact on the individual user and all related health issues; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The health promotion unit of my Department is currently engaged in developing a new national drugs awareness campaign. This campaign is to run for three years and is expected to raise awareness of all aspects of illegal drug use.
