194 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Finance if the appropriate restoration and repair works will be carried out to Ballinacarrow Bridge, Empor, Ballynacargy, County Westmeath; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22694/02]

The bridge in question carries a public road. The maintenance of such road bridges is the responsibility of the relevant local authority, in this case, Westmeath County Council.
