345 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be called to the Cappagh National Orthopaedic Hospital for a hip operation. [22323/02]

The provision of medical services in the case of a person from County Mayo is the responsibility of the Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply directly to him.

346 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Health and Children the position regarding an application for an appointment date at Waterford General Hospital for eye treatment for a person (details supplied) in County Carlow; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22410/02]

The provision of services for people living in County Carlow is a matter in the first instance for the South-Eastern Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply directly to him.

347 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be admitted to St. Luke's Hospital for radium treatment; when this person will be called to commence this urgently needed treatment; and the reason this person has to wait for such treatment. The provision of services in the case of a person from County Mayo is the responsibility of the Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position of this case and reply to the Deputy directly.
